World Bank Children's Center   Washington D.C.

Nevada City | Cotati | Pleasant Hill
World Bank | Sonora | Sutter's End

The mandate for these three childcare centers was to be as ecologically conscious as possible in the rehab of the downstairs of two eleven-story buildings.

At one point when we mentioned that we didn’t think that there was much difference between the American Standard and Kohler sink, the client asked us to check the maternity–leave policy and go with the company that had the most socially conscious policy.

Example of environmentally friendly products used in this project:

  • Bamboo
  • Cork
  • Wool
  • Plantation grown Aspen
  • VOC and formaldehyde materials
  • No clear-cut wood
