Wolf Creek Lodge
Grass Valley, California
The first senior cohousing community sharing the development of a site with an intergenerational cohousing community. Located at a prominent corner on 8.8-acres, with 3.3-acres dedicated open space, the project provides 30 units for active adults (no age limit), close to neighborhood shopping and close to nature, and a short walk from Grass Valley’s historic downtown.
The 3-4 story Lodge-inspired senior building “holds the corner” while opening to the view and embracing the sun at the same time.
The building is extremely energy efficient, with passive cooling and passive heating, sustainably grown lumber, hydronic heating, low toxicity materials, and maximum natural lighting and ventilation.
Construction to begin 2009.
