If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life you want; you are eventually going to be forced to spend a LOT of time dealing with a life you don’t want.
— Kevin Ngo

Study Group 1 (SG1) started with a group of older adults who recognized that they could live better, more fulfilling lives by supporting each other in community. If you want to live in Senior Cohousing, it is the first step to creating a group that shares the same values and community goals as you, your future neighbors.

SG1 consists of 10 weeks of learning and dialogue, facilitated by a trained SG1 Facilitator. Participants learn the importance of being in a community and how Senior Cohousing can assist them in living their next 50 years just as vibrantly as their last 50. In SG1, the facilitator takes participants through the financials, co-care scenarios, saging, and more.

Each year, The Cohousing Company hosts an online SG1 Facilitator Training. To date, we have training SG1 Facilitators in Canada, the U.S., Argentina, and Brazil and we are always looking to expand this network. If you would like to take our next training, sign up here
